Cherry Dream | a39 theatre project

A bold and contemporary interpretation of Anton Chekhov’s famous play, where the familiar story of a family on the verge of collapse becomes a vivid theatrical dream.

Created by a39 theatre project, one of the most exciting independent theatre companies of the new generation, “Cherry Dream” combines drama, comedy, visual theatre and movement. The production remains faithful to Chekhov’s spirit while speaking in a modern theatrical language.

The story unfolds through a sequence of striking scenes, memories and dream-like episodes, where humour gradually gives way to nostalgia and the feeling that an entire world is disappearing.

A visually rich and emotionally charged production where reality and dreams merge on stage.
